ABOUT US
____________________
Mud Path Australian Shepherds is located in Fort Recovery, Ohio on a quiet family farm with lots of space to roam. We strive to raise fully health tested AKC standard Australian shepherds with biddable temperaments ready to join your family. We’ve selected parent dogs whose healthy and structurally sound genetics have the ability to produce puppies whom are blue merles, red merles, black tricolors, and red tricolors with strong blue eyed lines, along with low to medium drives. Puppies are socialized in our home with young children and all the beauties of an active farm. Our adult breeding dogs live on site with us. They’re a member of the family.
BREEDING PROCESS
____________________
Our parent dogs have been intentionally and carefully selected based off of high standards of genetic health testing, temperament, conformation, and phenotypic compatibility. Our aussies are supported with regular veterinary care including access to on-call veterinarians, diverse opportunities of regular socialization, and spoiled with homemade treats produced on our farm.
FACILITIES
____________________
Our dogs live on our farm and in our home. They have access to our outside acres as well as their own space inside the house each with their own beds. They tag along on ranger rides, errand runs, and the occasional camping trip. We go on frequent walks in town and down the mud path.
OUR GOAL
____________________
At Mud Path Australian Shepherds our goal is to produce ‘easy’ family dogs for active families. When we say ‘easy’, we mean we strive for pups to be pleasant to be around all the time, they can be adaptable to family life changes, the highs and the lows. No genetic diseases that would cause constant vet visits and/or expensive therapeutic remedies, no strenuous exercise routines multiple times a day to “tire them out and keep them calm.” We like them to always be up for an adventure, a car ride, walk, but also have the off switch. To be gentle and calm when necessary. To sit and rest with you and your family during quiet time, movies, or just enjoying time around the campfire. To be your good ole’ family dog. Hopefully, your “soul dog”.
